Develop lesson plans
Incorporate training programs and curriculam based on their research into best practices and regulations ,patient treatment plans and nursing practices.
Mentor: Serve as mentor to nurses and help them in professional development
Teaching: Teaching nurses and trainee-nurses about the skills and knowledge needed to provide care
Evaluating: Evaluating students through examinations, assignments, and clinical settings
Qualification for Nurse Educator :
They may also need to have a masters or doctoral degree in nursing, a Certified Nurse Education certification, a Registered Nursing License, and a strong clinical background.
Clinical educators often have strong organizational and leadership skills, and may work with undergraduate or graduate students.
Previous experience of at least 3 years in clinical teaching required with 3 years of Registered Staff Nurse experience in different departments of 100+ bedded hospital.
Strong communication (written/verbal) skills and ability to explain is critical.
