Cost Accounting Manager

Role Summary : The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems for cost control and financial reporting. This role plays a key part in monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs, variances, and operational efficiencies to support decision-making and improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems and processes.
• Establish cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare cost budgets.
• Provide cost projections and variance analysis to management.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and performance against budgets.
• Prepare and present cost reports and recommendations to management.
• Monitor cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize costs.

Experience

• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and inventory valuation.
