Lead the creation of high-quality 2D assets, including character design, backgrounds, props, icons, and special effects.
Develop concept art that conveys the artistic vision and mood of the game, providing direction for other artists.
Mentor and guide a team of junior artists, providing feedback, training, and support to enhance the overall quality and creativity of the team.
Work closely with game designers, developers, and animators to ensure assets align with gameplay requirements and enhance the player experience.
Optimize artwork for performance and ensure assets are compatible with technical specifications.
Conduct regular reviews to ensure the art meets the highest standards and aligns with project timelines.
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience as a 2D Game Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of game art styles and assets, including characters, environments, and UI.
Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry-standard tools. Experience with Spine, After Effects, or similar for 2D animation is a plus.
Deep understanding of color theory, composition, anatomy, lighting, and rendering techniques.
Familiarity with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
Proven experience mentoring and managing junior artists or leading a small art team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively across departments.
