Position Manager (O&M)

The Manager for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of a 33/132 kV 2 x 25 MVA Pooling Substation, 132 kV Transmission Lines, 33 kV Transmission Lines, Solar Park, and coordinating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for the Operation and Maintenance of Wind Farm assets. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience in managing electrical systems, and excellent coordination skills to maintain reliability, efficiency, and safety standards in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operation & Maintenance of Substations and Transmission Lines:
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the 33/132 kV 2 x 25 MVA Pooling Substation, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Monitor the 132 kV and 33 kV transmission lines to ensure smooth power distribution with minimal outages.
• Supervise routine inspection, testing, and maintenance activities for the substations and transmission lines.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies during maintenance and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical faults, transformers, switchgear, and other related equipment.
2. Solar Park O&M:
• Manage the day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance activities of the solar park, ensuring maximum power generation.
• Implement corrective actions in the event of underperformance or failure in solar power generation.
• Coordinate the periodic inspection, module cleaning, and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and other solar power components.
3. Wind Farm O&M Coordination (with OEMs):
• Work closely with OEMs to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the wind farm assets.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure timely reporting of issues, downtime, and corrective actions taken in coordination with the OEMs.
• Review and approve the OEMs maintenance and service plans, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and quality standards.
4. Team Management:
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the operation and maintenance activities.
• Train staff on safety, operational procedures, and the use of equipment and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards in all O&M activities.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor and track operational performance metrics, including system availability, uptime, and energy production levels.
• Prepare and present regular performance and status reports to the Head Office.
6. Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure the implementation of safety protocols and procedures across all operations.
• Oversee risk management processes to minimize safety hazards and environmental impacts.
• Ensure adherence to local and regulatory standards governing O&M activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, renewable energy systems (solar, wind), and electrical infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience managing 33/132 kV substations and transmission lines.
• Previous experience in managing solar and wind power O&M operations is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment, transmission line systems, and renewable energy technology (solar, wind).
• Expertise in SCADA systems, electrical protection schemes, and automation systems.
• Understanding of power flow analysis, load management, and fault analysis.
