Position Summary:
We are looking for an entry-level candidate to join our Data Science team, focusing on machine learning, statistics, and Python. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in Python, object-oriented programming (OOP), and machine learning, with a demonstrated ability to deploy applications. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at debugging code, understanding the logic behind each step, and providing clear justifications to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Proficient in debugging, analyzing code and data flow, and optimizing code for improved performance.
Write clean, efficient, and optimized Python code for ETL, data processing, modeling, analysis, and exception handling.
Develop and implement machine learning models such as regression, decision trees, and random forests to solve business problems.
Utilize version control systems like GitHub for code collaboration and project management.
Work on end-to-end data science projects, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges.
Implement machine learning models with a focus on regression, classification, and clustering techniques.
Engage in code reviews and actively contribute to the enhancement of our ML infrastructure and best practices.
Ensure that solutions are scalable and robust for successful deployment in production environments.
Conduct research and stay current with the latest advancements in structured data modeling.
Leverage cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying machine learning models and data pipelines (good to have).
Explore and experiment with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions as needed (good to have).

Skills:
Machine Learning (Must Have Skills): Proficient in building and evaluating models, especially regression, decision trees, and random forests, clustering and statistical tests. In-depth understanding of Machine Learning architectures, training methodologies, and fine-tuning techniques. Extensive experience with Machine Learning frameworks and libraries like pandas, scikit learn, xgboost, svm, tensorflow and keras.
Possess foundational knowledge of statistics. (Must Have Skills)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong ability to collaborate effectively and maintain close coordination with supervisors.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Preferred Skills:
Cloud Exposure (Good to Have Skills): Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure for deploying and managing ML workloads. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS). (Good to Have Skills). Familiarity with Azure Blob Storage, Azure Tables, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps is a plus. (Good to Have Skills)
Gen AI/ LLM Knowledge (Good to Have Skills): Basic understanding or exposure to generative AI and large language models and prompt engineering.
