About the role: The Group Head role reports within the Functional Capabilities pillar of the US BPA team in Hyderabad. The person is responsible to lead and manage a team of associates accountable for end-to-end management of expenses (including personnel cost) related to the capability teams embedded within multiple functions in US (i.e., Market Access, US Medical Affairs, Integrated Marketing Organization, Novartis Patient Services, etc.). This role will report to US BPA Head and will work closely with US Functional Capabilities Director (based in East Hanover, US). The person in this role will also be a member of US Finance Hyderabads management team.
About the Role
Key Requirements:
General Administration: Lead the US BPA Functional Capabilities team in Hyderabad consisting of 5-7 associates
Manage the relationship with US stakeholders / partner with the Functional Capabilities Director (in US East Hanover). Responsible for managing headcount and expenses (budget and actuals) for 3-5 functions
Operations Management: Ensure operations of Functional Capabilities BPA team are seamless as per the timelines and quality assurance requirements
Responsible for monthly closing activities, with insightful analysis of KPIs and variances. Responsible for planning activities, ensuring coordinated and timely submission in requisite financial systems (SAP, BPC) across the various planning cycles
Establish consistent and standardized tracking and reporting across functions. Provide insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the US Functional LT of cost base for key priorities and capabilities
Business Partnering: Proactively partner with US teams, both in Finance as well as within the business, esp. on leadership to drive strategic initiatives & achieve business performance
Ensure ongoing business performance is appropriately monitored and drive early warning for any inconsistency / risk, providing solutions to US stakeholders. Challenge peers, teams, senior management, and partners to deliver greater impact

Essential Requirements:
Ensuring delivery as per the defined timelines, scope and quality standards
Managing multiple projects and priorities from internal (i.e., US Finance) and external (i.e., US functional business) stakeholders
Able to work with minimum supervision and thrive under pressure. Develop talent to cater to strong and robust succession plan for critical roles
Desirable Requirements:
MBA / CA / Life Sciences any other equivalent degree. Overall 12+ years of experience in finance analysis / BPA with at least 3-5 years of experience in managing small-to-medium sized teams (with direct and indirect reports)
Good team player with experience of finance business partnering. Strong analysis and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with mid to senior level management across the organization
