MainFrame Assembler Engineer (6-10 yrs)

Job Responsibilities :

- Learn and maintain legacy systems

- Design, develop, test, implement and document software applications.

- Assure that all work performed on projects adheres to standards.

- Work with limited direction on assignments.

- Develop and support custom applications

- Coding fixes and new software development

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in IBM assembler running under version 4.3 of the VSE operating system

- Experience in IBM Cobol under version 2.7 of the VSE operating system is a plus

- Familiarity with one or more programming languages

- Familiarity with standard development techniques (SDLC, OOD)

Experience Required :

- 3+ years of experience with ASSEMBLER with Cobol JCL

- 3+ years mainframe experience utilizing COBOL, VSAM and other mainframe tools

- Experience with VSE

- Mainframe conversion experience highly desirable
