QA Engineer : Manual + Automation

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal

candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven

track record of designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of software testing experience both manual and automation testing.
• 2+ years of API testing, experience with API testing and tools like Postman, REST

Assured

• 2 + years of experience in product automation testing both front end and back end,

preferably Angular & Java based products

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium/ Appium,

JUnit, TestNG, etc.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker,

Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of messaging bus like RabbitMQ/Kafka.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
• Experience in Mobile app testing (both iOS & Android apps), desktop, and web

applications.

• Ability to analyse the requirements properly.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in working on SQL queries.
• Experience working in Agile.
• Good at logical thinking and problem-solving.
• Good understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work with minimum to absolutely NO assistance required.
• Prior experience as a manual tester is a must in order to assure capability to

understand business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing

procedures.

• Execute manual test cases across multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.) and

document defects.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools

and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG).

• Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment

(CI/CD) pipeline for efficient and rapid feedback.

• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (

AzureDevOps, JIRA, TestRail)

• Contribute to test strategy and planning by analysing requirements, specifications,

and user stories to determine testing needs.

• Work with QA and development teams to prioritize test cases and identify areas

suitable for automation.

• Provide detailed reports on test results, test coverage, and defect status to

stakeholders.

• Execute automated test scripts and analyse test results to ensure the software meets

quality standards and functional requirements.

• Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified issues.
• Implement and maintain regression test suites to ensure the stability of existing

functionalities after code changes.

• Perform continuous testing to support the iterative development process.
• Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and best practices in QA

automation and incorporate them into the testing process.

• Design and execute performance and load tests to assess software performance and

scalability.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to address

them.

• Behavioural Skills: Resolve technical issues of environments and Explore alternate

workarounds

• Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensures client

satisfaction Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective

knowledge management activity if any ramp up in future

• Test mobile application (iOS & Android).
• Work in Agile to ensure Project deliverables are met, on time, and with High quality.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge or working experience in UI and API automation on enterprising product.
• Knowledge of Database testing
• Certification: ISTQB fundamental/ Advanced level will be added advantage

Education:

B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Computer Science or MCA is preferred
