NMTRONICS - Senior Automation Engineer - Software Quality Assurance (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Automation Framework Development : Design and implement robust automation frameworks for testing web and mobile applications.

- Test Automation : Develop and execute automated tests for different layers of the application stack (UI, API, integration, etc.).

- CI/CD Pipeline Management : Work closely with DevOps teams to establish, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the smooth deployment and integration of code changes.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, and operations) to understand requirements and implement automation processes accordingly.

- Mentoring and Leadership : Provide mentorship and guidance to junior automation engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

- Tooling & Scripting : Develop custom scripts and use industry-standard tools to streamline automation processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

- Bug Tracking & Reporting : Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues, providing clear communication on the status and resolution of automation efforts.

- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and best practices, continuously improving processes and frameworks.

- Test Coverage & Reporting : Ensure comprehensive test coverage across the product, providing insightful test reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Experience : 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation engineering.

- Automation Tools : Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

- Programming Languages : Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

- CI/CD Tools : Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.

- Version Control : Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaboration on platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.

- Web & Mobile Automation : Experience in automating tests for web applications, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and APIs.

- API Testing : Experience with tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI for API testing.

- Test Management : Understanding of test management processes and tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.

- Cloud & Containerization : Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Strong Problem-Solving : Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
