Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Vendor Manager to join our team in the Localization and Translation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and optimizing vendor performance in alignment with company goals. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the localization and translation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Selection & Onboarding:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new translation and localization vendors based on quality, expertise, and service offerings.
• Conduct vendor assessments, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with company requirements.

Vendor Relationship Management:

• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing vendors to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective service.
• Act as the primary point of contact between vendors and internal teams, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
• Regularly assess vendor performance against defined metrics, such as quality, turnaround time, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze and report on vendor performance to ensure continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that vendors adhere to quality standards and that all localized and translated materials meet company and client expectations.
• Implement corrective actions when quality issues arise.
• Cost Management:
• Manage vendor contracts and negotiate pricing to ensure that services remain within budget without compromising on quality.
• Evaluate and adjust vendor pricing structures when necessary.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with project managers, localization specialists, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Support internal teams with vendor-related queries, ensuring smooth workflow for all localization and translation projects.
• Process Improvement:
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within the vendor management function.
• Recommend best practices for managing translation and localization workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in vendor management, with a strong understanding of the localization and translation industry.
• Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and performance.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with translation management software and tools is a plus.
