SAP PS Consultant - Primavera 6 Integration (10-15 yrs)

Job Summary :

An SAP PS (Project System) and Primavera P6 integration consultant specializes in integrating SAP's Project System module with Primavera P6.

The role and responsibilities :

Understanding the Business Requirements : The consultant works with stakeholders to understand project management needs, the flow of data between SAP PS and Primavera P6, and the desired outcome of the integration.

System Integration : This involves developing and configuring the integration, typically using middleware tools like (MuleSoft and EDP) for Primavera.

Data Mapping & Transformation : Ensuring that project data like cost, schedule, Revenue, and forecast are correctly mapped between SAP and Primavera P6. This might involve the use of standard or custom data structures.

Custom Development : Developing custom programs, reports, or user exits to address unique needs for integration, such as handling custom fields, data transformation, or more complex revenue and forecast needs.

Testing & Validation : After setting up the integration, the consultant tests the flow of data between the SAP, EDP And MuleSoft systems to ensure that the integration is working smoothly and meets the needs of the business.

Training & Support : After the integration is implemented, consultants often train end-users on the new process and provide support to troubleshoot any issues.

Continuous Improvement : Ongoing assessment of the integration for potential enhancements, ensuring that the systems evolve with the changing needs of the organization.

Required Skills & Knowledge :

SAP PS Module : In-depth knowledge of SAP's Project System module, including configuration, integration, and project lifecycle management.

Primavera P6 : Understanding in Primavera P6, including project cost, forecast, revenue management, and reporting capabilities.

Middleware/Integration Tools : Familiarity with tools like EDP and MuleSoft for system communication.

Project Management Methodology : Understanding of project management principles, such as Project Plan and Actual cos, Forecast and Sales Price and Revenue management.
