NITS Solutions - Security Specialist - Vulnerability Assessment/Vulnerability Assessment (3-6 yrs)

Position Overview :

At NITS Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., we are seeking an experienced and vigilant security specialist who has experience in understanding the importance of protecting the company's data. This role expects one to proactively set up security measures to prevent breaches of all sizes, understand when they occur, and take immediate steps to remediate them.

This position involves understanding and taking steps to mitigate the risks associated with collecting, storing and transmitting data in a business setting. In this role, the specialist will help keep cybercrime at bay, using expertise and analytics to monitor our data at all points of contact, ferret out malware and ransomware events, and recommend solutions for any vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate understands security standards and certifications, extensive knowledge of how cybercriminals work, and determination to never allow them access.

Ultimately, you will work to ensure the security of our business information, employee data and client information throughout our entire network.

Job Responsibilities :

- Perform regular IT Security Health-Checks, determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits

- Analyze existing security systems and make recommendations for changes or improvements

- Create, run and submit security monitoring systems reports

- Ensure designs follow IA principles to protect sensitive PII and PHI

- Assess the current situation, evaluate trends and anticipate security requirements

- Review Vulnerability scan, Penetration Test, Network Monitoring and AV for IT infrastructure

- Provide system security tuning, security monitoring, privileged user account management, and reviewing all application products upgrades and patches, including operating systems

- Monitor open-source intelligence channels such as NC4 and ISOS

- Organize and conduct tests and "ethical hacks" of the existing security architecture

- Upgrade systems regularly to remain competitive in the field of security

- Apply the cyber security defense tools and processes, to protect the environments

- Liaise with Software Development team to ensure that security is considered throughout the lifecycle

- Identify any security flaws within the business software and managing through appropriately

- Compile information for qualitative and quantitative analysis for feasibility of mitigation programs, risk assessment, or other aspects of large or complex security initiatives

- Implement and maintain security controls

- Prepare awareness content and help lead employee training to prevent phishing and other forms of cyberattack

Qualification & Required Skills :

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information systems, information technology, or related field

- 3-7 Years experience as a Security Specialist at a midsize or large company in our industry

- Proven experience with OWASP security concepts and discovering vulnerabilities such as XSS, XSRF, SQL Injection, Cookie Manipulation

- Must have experience with Assessment and Authorization management activities, FISMA Compliance, NIST Security Controls, NIST 800-37 RMF Guide, and security documentation writing

- Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data and other attack artifacts

- Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions

- Proficiency with antivirus and security software

- Deep knowledge of IT, including hardware, software, and networks

- Knowledge of current security risks and protocols

- Meticulous eye for detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Strong abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics

- Willingness to work on-call in the event of a security breech or other emergency

- Ability to think like a hacker in order to stay ahead of threats
