Roles & Responsibilities of VMC/CNC Programmer

• Machine Setup:
• Prepare and configure CNC machines for production, including loading materials and selecting appropriate tools.
• Programming:
• Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code based on technical blueprints and specifications.
• Operation Monitoring:
• Operate CNC machines during production runs, monitoring processes to ensure precision and quality of the finished parts.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshooting:
• Identify and resolve issues related to programming errors, machine malfunctions, or material inconsistencies during production.
• Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production counts, and quality inspection results.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to plan manufacturing processes and resolve any production-related challenges.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education:
• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in CNC programming or a related field.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technology from recognized institutions such as CIPET, IGTR, or NTTF is preferred.
• Experience:
• 0-2 years of experience in CNC programming or operation, particularly in the household products manufacturing industry.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
