This role involves cultivating long-term, high-value relationship This role requires a strong leadership presence to mentor and guide a team of Key Account Managers while collaborating with senior leadership to align account strategies with overall business goals, driving business growth, and ensuring the alignment of client goals with company objectives.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Account Management :
- Lead the management of the company's largest and most strategic client accounts, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Develop and implement account strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee the creation of customized solutions and long-term plans for each key account, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs and objectives.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Mentor and manage a team of Key Account Managers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their performance and development.
- Lead by example in managing relationships with senior-level client executives, driving business outcomes and maintaining client loyalty.
- Set clear performance goals and ensure the team adheres to KPIs, deadlines, and quality standards.
Revenue Growth & Business Development:
- Drive the growth of key accounts by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the scope of services or products provided.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Ensure the achievement of revenue goals, and profitability metrics for assigned accounts.
Client Retention & Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at the senior levels of key accounts, acting as their trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Oversee the resolution of complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective problem-solving and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Develop client retention strategies and ensure consistent communication to foster long-term partnerships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., product, operations, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless delivery of services and client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals based on client feedback, market conditions, and business needs.
- Advocate for key accounts within the company to ensure that the needs and expectations of clients are prioritized and met.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor the performance of key accounts, track sales progress, and report on KPIs to senior leadership.
- Conduct regular reviews of account health, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to executive leadership, sharing the status of key accounts and progress toward revenue and growth objectives.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on market insights and client feedback.
- Lead market research efforts to better understand client needs and the competitive landscape.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (required).
- MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in key account management preferrably B2C clients, sales, or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and driving business growth.
- Experience leading a team, mentoring junior staff, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive level.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of sales and account management processes, with the ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
- Analytical and results-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights
