Electrical Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design:
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for machinery, ensuring clear and efficient designs for manufacturing and assembly.
• Design and implement electrical systems for machinery and equipment, with a specific focus on automation.
• Control Systems Integration:
• Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems into automated machinery, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Develop and maintain control logic for automation systems, ensuring high performance and operational reliability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with mechanical and pneumatic teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and automation systems.
• Work alongside engineering teams to optimize system designs, ensuring efficiency and minimizing downtime during installation.
• Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure all designs comply with electrical standards, safety regulations, and automation protocols (e.g., UL, IEC, NEC standards).
• Maintain detailed documentation for electrical designs and troubleshooting procedures.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related and automation issues during production, testing, or post-installation phases.
• Continuously monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency or address issues.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Evaluate new technologies and practices to enhance the design, integration, and functionality of electrical and automation systems.
• Provide recommendations for design improvements based on operational feedback or testing results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical system design, with a focus on automation.
• Experience designing automation systems, including knowledge of PLC, HMI, and control systems.
• Software Proficiency:
• Proficient in using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, with a strong understanding of electrical design and drafting tools.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation, and motion control systems.
• In-depth understanding of circuit design, electrical systems, and control panels.
• Knowledge of robotics and motion control systems is an advantage.
• Problem-Solving:
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex electrical design and automation issues.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve system performance.
• Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and presenting design ideas.
• Ability to create clear, detailed design documentation, reports, and manuals.
