Production Manager from Rotating Equipment Industry

Role & responsibilities

As a Manufacturing manager, to oversee the production of goods from raw materials to finished products. You are responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the manufacturing processes to ensure that products are made efficiently and meet company standards. Your job involves managing the workforce, setting production goals, and monitoring the quality of the products being produced. You work closely with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and logistics, to ensure that all aspects of the manufacturing process are aligned.​

Your experience in the manufacturing industry allows you to solve problems quickly and effectively, and you are constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable leading and motivating a team. You also possess strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

Key job responsibilities:

• Promote safety at highest level
• Implement and control the production schedule, review, and adjust the schedule where needed
• Determine the human resources & material resources required
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
• Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and tooling procurement
• Implement standard operating procedures for production processes
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• Set & monitor product quality standards
• Implement and enforce quality control, tracking programs to meet quality objectives & operator qualification through Quality basics.
• Analyse production and ensure quality control to detect and correct problems
• Determine and implement improvements to the production processes
• Prepare and maintain production records
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary trainings for improvement
• Estimate production costs, set production budgets, manage production budgets
• Implement cost control programs
• Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, and management
• Provide necessary trainings to operators for achieving optimum level of productivity & maintain records
• Provide training on Nidec 3Q6S operational excellence

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor of engineering in (Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing of Alternators & Motors
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of raw materials
• Knowledge of quality systems, standards & tools
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques
• Knowledge of management principles
• Knowledge of industrial relationship, trade unions etc
• Knowledge of machines and tools
• Knowledge on MS office, ERP Navision, SAP
• Knowledge on lean manufacturing
