Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Management:
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial health.
2. Accounting Operations:
• Supervise accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and financial reporting requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
4. Strategic Planning:
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the development of business plans and growth strategies.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and financial risks.
5. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
6. Stakeholder Management:
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
• Present financial results and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
