Nichebit - Senior .Net Developer (6-8 yrs)

Primary purpose of the role :

Maintain hands-on exposure to analyses, design, develop, implement and maintain application software as well as extend and integrate off-the-shelf packages; with emphasis on middleware, integration and back office systems and supporting services.

Key Responsibilities :

- To lead by example and ensure the timely delivery of appropriate quality application software and services across multiple platforms, technologies and business areas.

- To be accountable for estimating work whilst managing the workload in a way that allows innovation and creativity to flourish.

- To communicate development status/progress as required.

Ensure that potential opportunities, risks and issues are identified and, if necessary, escalated in a timely manner.

- To liaise and work in collaboration with other internal teams to provide handover, pre- and post-implementation support, including resolution of design, build, integration and implementation issues.

- To ensure correct technology use, including identifying and evaluating technical tools and internal team processes required to use the technology.

- To ensure the teams information repository is kept orderly and current, and contribute to other relevant knowledge bases as appropriate.

- To challenge convention, identifying improvements and analyzing and documenting them regardless of the ultimate outcome.

- Seek to identify and highlight opportunities to leverage technology across Randstad.

- To provide any other reasonable duties as advised from time to time by the management team

- Work within the Randstad Agile framework, alongside other team members and IT Domains

Technical Knowledge :

- Solid commercial C# .NET based development experience.

- Experience building SOAP and RESTful API services.

- Ability to refactor brownfield and legacy systems.

- Unit Testing and Automated Test tool experience

- Exposure to RabbitMQ.

- Knowledge of pub/sub architectures.

- Knowledge of networking and system architecture

- Experience of MS SQL.

Work Experience :

- At least 2 years proven experience of the full software development lifecycle

- Essential knowledge and experience integrating systems via RESTful/SOAP APIs.

- Knowledge and experience developing and supporting recruitment software

- Knowledge of integration experience with Salesforce

- Knowledge of recruitment back office processes and procedures.

- Knowledge and experience supporting Pay and Bill systems.
