What' the role?

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to oversee and manage AP operations across India, the US, and other geographies. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth AP processes, managing audits (internal and external), and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.

How you'll make an impact?

Accounts Payable Operations:

- Oversee the end-to-end AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.

- Manage vendor relationships and address payment inquiries while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations.

- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, accurately coded, and aligned with corporate policies.

- Reconcile AP sub-ledger accounts to the General Ledger monthly, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.

- Handle multi-currency AP transactions, ensuring compliance with currency exchange regulations and accounting standards.

Audits (Internal and External) :

- Prepare and support all audit-related documentation, including compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address queries and resolve audit findings.

- Develop and maintain proper documentation processes to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

- Implement corrective actions for audit observations and ensure proper follow-up to prevent recurring issues.

Process Improvement :

- Analyze the existing AP processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline invoice approvals, payment processes, and reporting mechanisms.

- Leverage automation tools and technology to enhance accuracy and reduce manual intervention in the AP process.

- Implement policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risk in AP operations.

What we're looking for:

- At least 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable

- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with any ERP system

- High level of computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Excel

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- University degree in accounting or a related field

- Working Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
