Senior Production Support Engineer - Big Data - Chennai

Role and Responsibilities

Provide production end-user, application and data support for the Consumer Data Lake HDFS Platform. Participate on a

team that provides 24X7 support for a large Big-Data environment by troubleshooting, making decisions regarding corrective

actions and providing immediate fixes/work-around withing established SLA. Provide end-user support regarding both

inquiries and extract requests. Support change management process with occasional manual tasks and post-implementation verifications.

• Resolve INCident tickets for application problems and research requests per published SLAs
• Champion PRB tickets suggesting enhancements to application for performance, stability and resiliency
• Fulfill Marketplace requests for data extracts and file transfers per SLAs
• Perform thematic analysis of system issues and communicate to engineering
• Support change tasks and post-implementation verification analysis

Technology Skills Required

1. Hadoop ecosystem tools

2. Unix and Java

3. Python / Spark

4. Autosys Scheduler

5. NDM File Transfer

6. Strong SQL

Preferred Skills

• Batchelors degree or equivalent -- Comp Science
• Overall 8+ years,

Strong Troubleshooting background

• Min 2 Years experience in the field
• AI applied to software monitoring processes
• Production Support Experience
