Lab Technician

Role & responsibilities :

• Perform microbiological tests on patient samples (e.g., blood, urine, sputum).
• Isolate and identify microorganisms using standard microbiological techniques.
• Conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing and record results accurately.
• Ensure adherence to lab safety protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, sterile work environment and handle equipment properly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient lab operations and timely results.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (NABL, CAP, etc.).

Preferred candidate profile :

• Education: Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Experience: 6 months 2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in a diagnostic or clinical setting.
• Solid understanding of microbiological techniques, including culturing, staining, and identifying microorganisms.
