Job Title: Consolidation and Financial Reporting Manager
Role Description:
- The Consolidation and Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation processes, and regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Consolidation:
- Oversee and manage the consolidation of financial statements for the group, including subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Ensure intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and adjustments are performed accurately.
- Maintain and improve the consolidation system and tools for efficiency and accuracy.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP or other applicable standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for consolidated financial results.
3. Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax filings, statutory reporting, and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and address any queries or findings.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and practices.
4. Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead the automation and integration of consolidation processes where feasible.
5. Team Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants and analysts involved in the consolidation and reporting process.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the teams capabilities.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance teams in subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Tax, Treasury, and Operations, for comprehensive reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA is a must.
Experience:
- 10-12 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and accounting.
- Experience in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial consolidation software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, OneStream).
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or local accounting standards.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments and regions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timeliness and accuracy of consolidated financial reports.
- Audit readiness and resolution of audit queries.
- Process improvements implemented and efficiencies achieved.
