Software Engineer

The SAN Management Plane team is working on the latest block storage solutions. NetApp’s SAN-optimized all-flash arrays provide a simplified and consistent SAN experience for critical workloads, ensuring high availability, great performance, and easy data management across hybrid cloud environments.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will join a team of enthusiastic engineers focused on design, development, maintenance, and testing. Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements into SAN solutions using C++ and C.
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration tests, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Engage in technical discussions within the team and with other groups in the company.
• Contribute to project specifications and documentation.

• Familiarity with C++ or C programming, especially on Linux.
• Understanding of multithreaded, systems-level applications.
• Willingness to learn new software projects quickly.
• Basic knowledge of optimizing system-level code for performance.
• Ability to work well in a team, including with geographically diverse members.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

• Requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience or a master's degree with 0-4 years' experience or equivalent work experience. 

• Knowledge of distributed systems and concurrent execution.
• Experience with Block and/or File System (NFS) based storage systems.
• Exposure to Agile software development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Understanding of REST API, Cloud, and Virtualization environments is a plus.
