Java Microservices and Azure Architect

A Senior Java/Azure Microservices Architect & Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 15+ years of experience responsible for designing and implementing high-throughput, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices using Java (Spring Boot, ) and Azure Cloud technologies. Expert in building cloud-native solutions, deploying applications with Kubernetes (AKS), Azure Functions, and managing infrastructure through Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Leads Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, focusing on SLIs, SLOs, incident management, and monitoring to ensure system reliability and performance.

Nice to have : Retail domain knowledge Transportation Management Systems (TMS) (logistics optimization, route planning, shipment tracking). Drives strategic planning and ensures technology solutions align with business objectives, delivering efficient, secure, and scalable systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1 Microservices Architecture & Design: Lead the design and development of high-throughput microservices using Java (Spring Boot, ), ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and high performance for enterprise applications &ensuring they are modular, reusable, and easy to maintain.

2 Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect and manage Azure Cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes (AKS), Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps, ensuring cost optimization, scalability, and security of cloud-native solutions.

3 Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Implement SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs), manage incident response, monitoring, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and drive continuous improvement in system availability, performance, and reliability.

4 DevOps & CI/CD: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Jenkins, to automate and optimize deployment, scaling, and infrastructure management processes.

5 Stakeholder Communication & Strategic Planning: Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to develop and communicate technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment of system design and cloud strategies with organizational goals.
