Job Description
Proven experience in developing and implementing climate risk management model/ tool including simulation models and probabilistic models for corporates/institutions
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret climate risk data for analysis, risk indexing and integrating with inancial data for overall risk management decisions
Good understanding of key sectors - both current and emerging market trends in manufacturing sectors with ability to stay updated to latest trends and developments
In-depth knowledge of climate-related risks and their potential impact on business operations, supply chains, and inancial performance.
Sound Knowledge of regulatory requirements - BRSR, GRI, SASB, IFRS S2, TCFD, CSRD, CDP etc.
including disclosure and reporting requirements.
Knowledge on decarbonization strategies (CCUS) and impacts (Carbon credits etc.)
Having GIS knowledge preferable
Experience in banking risk management preferable
Solutioning approach with bent towards technology architecture
Other skill Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Good time management.
Ability to work under pressure on various tasks at a time
Principal Responsibilities:
Conduct with team, comprehensive assessments of organizations exposure to both physical and transition risks associated with climate change and climate policy, technology trend with potential impacts on key assets, operations, and supply chains across sectors.
Assess emerging risk scenarios, climate stress testing, materiality assessment with industry practices to develop a roadmap and establish a Climate risk Model/Tool to generate overall climate risk score for client- both portfolio & entity level
Provide guidance to the Climate Risk team, including upskilling on Climate Risk score indexing, sector wise benchmarking etc.
Ideate new features to cater changing trends in market requirements for better Climate change risk adaptation & mitigation
Strong client handling at senior client levels, understanding requirements, providing solutions and foster strong relationships to enhance market position
Support engagement with client on the topic of Climate Risk. Ensure Climate risk policies are it for regulatory purposes, underwriting decisions, risk appetite decisions and strategy design
Monitor and evaluate emerging climate-related risks and trends, and provide timely updates and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
