We are looking for a Data Engineer wanting to join Nepa's Global Tech team.

Your role as our Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Nepa, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions to support data generation, collection, and processing. You will build efficient data pipelines, ensure high data quality, and implement ETL processes for seamless data migration and deployment across systems. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity and quality, and making sure all deliverables are completed on time.  

Also, you will apply your analytical and programming skills to data analysis and technical problem-solving. With a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), you are a quick to learn new concepts and software. Adaptable to complex environments, you are a self-motivated and independent team player who collaborates effectively in various team settings. Your key responsibility areas would be as follows:

- Apply data engineering principles to designing, building, optimizing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow between systems and sources.

- Utilize expertise with pipeline tools like Google Dataflow, Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, or equivalents ETL tools

- You are anticipated to have experience in cloud computing (preferably GCP) and good understanding of CI/CD processes. 

- Your responsibility will involve identifying and fixing errors, making necessary modifications, and upgrading existing software products.

Your profile as our Data Engineer

We are looking for a team player who is creative, a self-starter, and must have the ability to work independently. You should have excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines. You should have demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. The detailed information on skill sets and personal competencies is listed below:    

 - Proficiency in programming in Python, including commonly used libraries.

 - Strong understanding of databases, particularly MSSQL.

 - Experience in data visualization techniques and tools. 

 - Deep Knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies, with a focus on Google Cloud platform.  

 - Proficiency with knowledge of MS-Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

 - Ability to collaborate with different global stakeholders such as project managers and analysts.

 - Willing to learn and work with new software and tools. 

A few more things

- You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any specialization), or equivalent relevant experience.

- You have 2-5 years of experience in Python programming, with a strong focus on complex data structures and developing data pipelines.

- You have some experience working with Google Cloud Platform or other major public cloud ecosystems.

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
