Job Description
- To coordinate with related department end-users, servicing agencies and BME team for any kind of preventive maintenance or calibration of the medical equipment.
- To maintain necessary check list or reports.
- To obtain necessary feedback on time to time basis.
- To supervise preventive maintenance of all biomedical equipment.
- To identify the equipment for calibration and service it through third party service provider
- To attend break-down call of all critical biomedical equipment & maintain call slip.
- To conduct Quality Assurance test as per schedule.
- To place indent of medical gas and Manifold Gas Bank whenever required and follow up for timely payments.
- To take care of Compressed Air and Suction Line monitoring and its regular servicing.
- To coordinate with related department heads, servicing agencies and BME team for all types of installation of medical equipments.
- To follow up for pre-requisite installation guidelines.
- To create equipment ID and update the same in the equipment log book on real time basis.
- Maintain stock of specified spare/parts which may replace after a while or regular basis to minimize down time.
- Maintain regular stock of medical cylinders to run medical gas manifold & all departments in hospital.
- To prepare yearly / half-yearly budget for any type of Capex/Opex/AMC expenditures.
- To coordinate with related department end-users, servicing agencies and BME team for any kind of procurement of Equipments or spare parts.
- To be responsible for commissioning of new bio-medical equipment in coordination with the department end-users.
- To provide the comparison analysis of the various vendors in terms of rates and other criteria to Purchase department.
- To tie up with new vendors as per need.
- To co-ordinate with the vendors/suppliers to carry out preventive maintenance, duly calibration procedure & break down maintenance.
- To maintain equipment history and breakdown registers.
- To maintain log sheets and registers of preventive maintenance of critical equipment.
- To maintain calibration record registers.
- To prepare MIS and monthly presentation
- To impart training to the nursing staffs/end users on proper handling of equipment
