Big Data Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Big Data solutions using Hadoop, Hive SQL, Spark, and other Big Data ecosystem tools.
• Optimize and enhance query performance.
• Set up environments, ensure connectivity, and deploy code in production after thorough testing.
• Serve as a primary contact for small to medium-sized projects as needed.
• Work in an Agile development framework and follow DevOps best practices.
• Create Scala/Spark jobs for data transformation and aggregation.
• Write unit tests for Spark transformations and helper methods.
• Document code using Scaladoc-style documentation.
• Design and implement data processing pipelines

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive SQL, Spark, and Big Data ecosystem tools.
• Ability to optimize queries and enhance performance.
• Strong functional and technical knowledge with an understanding of banking terminologies.
• Experience working in an Agile and DevOps environment.
• Proficiency in Scala/Spark for data transformation.
