Job Description: Engineering Manager (Java with Front-End Experience)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager with extensive experience in Java development and proficiency in at least one front-end technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a large development team, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, scalable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Define and drive the engineering vision, strategy, and best practices.
• Build and retain a world-class team through hiring, mentoring, and career development.

Technical Expertise:

• Oversee the design and architecture of complex, distributed systems.
• Provide technical leadership in Java backend development, including frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
• Offer guidance on front-end development technologies, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

Project Delivery:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and DevOps, to ensure timely and quality project deliveries.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, balancing technical constraints with business goals.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of projects and teams.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Backend Expertise:
• Mastery in Java and associated frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
• Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in database design (SQL and NoSQL).
• Frontend Knowledge:
• Strong experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Tools & Technologies:
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with performance optimization and system scalability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration or server less computing is a plus.
• Expertise in enterprise application performance tuning and optimization.
