Job Description
Role Summary:
The Team Leader is owner of the FPA process in NEC India Shared Service Centre (ISSC) and is responsible for Finance month close, team management, and first-class delivery of the FPA services within the specified SLA to NEC SWS UK team. This role will work closely with all financial, operational corporate functions within the organisation. He/she will also lead the new entity transitions across Public Safety.
Essential Attributes skills::
- Very good accounting knowledge.
- Ability to engage at multiple level of leadership and stakeholders is a must.
- Hands on working experience required in FPA process is a must. Especially candidate must have a good understanding of the periodic financial close process.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP Finance Modules. Experience in TM1 and peripheral systems is desired.
- Experience of managing a medium sized team is essential.
- Customer focused approach with Continuous Improvement mindset is a must.
- Demonstrable can do attitude with willingness to learn.
- Strong, performance-orientated person, able to function in a dynamic environment
- A solid team player that has natural leadership skills
- Ability to exert influence, with good cooperation and motivational skills
- Enthusiastically welcomes new initiatives and naturally handles multiple tasks.
- Experience in managing a large team of specialists ranging from entry-level to experienced individuals
- Demonstrate flexibility in style and approach to problem solving
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Task orientated at a team and individual level.
- Works in a collaborative and inclusive manner within the team.
- Good analytical and effective communications skills both oral and written
- Fluent and wide-ranging vocabulary in English is essential.
Overall Project/Task description but not limited to.
- Closely track and own the periodic financial closing activities in Public Safety Business to ensure the pre and post month close activities are delivered with accuracy on time.
- Review the PL and Balance Sheet key account variances and take actions as necessary post discussion with the Business Partners.
- Review Balance Sheet recs and guide and support the team to keep open items within the threshold
- Help in budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. Working in close cooperation with Finance controller for NEC SWS Safety Business to finalise the numbers
- Work with the Business partners on the 5 year MTP and Annual Budget process.
- Jointly work with the direct manager to plan and lead new entity transitions, identify new scope of work transition.
- Prepare the key metrics Dashboard and review with Leadership monthly/quarterly.
- Continuously identify and drive improvement and productivity actions within the team with focus on Quality
- Experience in managing a large team of specialists ranging from entry-level to experienced individuals
- Meeting the team on regularly and provide constructive feedback to improve productivity
- Conduct year-end appraisal review for the team
- Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with excellent communication skills to deal with people of various backgrounds/working styles
- Preferred qualified Accountant or MBA Finance from a reputed university.
Experience (years): - Finance Professional with minimum 9-12 years of relevant experience
