Job Description: Electrical Designer (STP & WTP).

Position: Electrical Designer.

Location: Head Office (In-House Design Team), Hyderabad.

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 5 - 10 Years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical System Design: Develop comprehensive electrical designs for municipal sewage treatment plants (STPs) and water treatment plants (WTPs), covering primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment processes.
• Power Distribution & Load Calculations: Design power distribution systems, load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and transformer & generator sizing.
• Equipment Selection & Sizing: Specify and select motors, VFDs, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and control panels.
• Process & Hydraulic System Integration: Design electrical systems for pumps, blowers, aeration systems, sludge handling units, and filtration processes.
• Electrical Layouts & Documentation: Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable routing layouts, grounding & lightning protection systems, and panel wiring schematics.
• Automation & Control: Work on SCADA, PLC-based automation, and remote monitoring systems for STPs and WTPs.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to IS Codes and other relevant municipal guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Coordination & Review: Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation and Civil teams for integrated design solutions.
• Tender & BOQ Preparation: Develop technical specifications, bill of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for electrical components.
• Vendor & Site Support: Review vendor drawings, assist in technical evaluations, and provide design support during project execution.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems for wastewater and water treatment plants.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or other electrical design tools.
• Experience in power distribution, control systems, and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with municipal water & wastewater treatment guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills for cross-discipline collaboration.
