Job Title : Backend Software Developer

Location : Hyderabad (Work from Office)

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer with 4-6 years of expertise in designing, building, and maintaining efficient backend services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RESTful services, experience working with Tomcat server, and proficiency in database management. You will work closely with frontend developers and other stakeholders to deliver robust backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic, including database interactions and business logic.

- Develop and maintain REST APIs for web and mobile applications.

- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend services and optimize for scalability and performance.

- Deploy, configure, and manage applications on the Tomcat server.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Implement security and data protection measures in the backend systems.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.

- Write unit and integration tests for backend services.

- Optimize database performance, design efficient queries, and manage migrations.

- Participate in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 4-6 years of experience in backend development.

- Strong experience with RESTful services and API development.

- Proficiency with Tomcat server and application deployment.

- Expertise in working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

- Strong knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.

- Experience with database schema design and query optimization.

- Familiarity with microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

- Experience with containerization tools like Docker is a plus.

- Familiarity with security best practices for APIs and database management.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

- Knowledge of message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Exposure to DevOps practices is a plus.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
