Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in plant, machinery, electrical, and mechanical maintenance plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of equipment and machinery in industrial or manufacturing settings. Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect and test equipment for faults and issues before they cause downtime.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

• Quickly identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in machinery.
• Coordinate and manage repair processes to minimize downtime.
• Perform repairs on equipment, electrical panels, circuits, and control systems.

Machinery & Equipment Setup and Calibration:

• Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure machinery operates efficiently according to technical specifications.

Maintenance Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and improvements.
• Document changes made to equipment settings or systems and update maintenance schedules.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety protocols to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments regularly.
• Ensure that all equipment complies with safety standards and local regulations.

Training and Leadership:

• Lead and train junior maintenance staff or technicians.
• Guide the team in performing routine maintenance tasks and resolving complex issues.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and tools.
• Maintain stock levels for routine parts and materials to avoid delays during maintenance activities.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

• Work closely with production teams, quality control, and engineering departments to improve overall plant efficiency.
• Address production delays caused by equipment failure and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues

Continuous Improvement:

• Suggest and implement process improvements that can enhance the reliability of machinery.
• Analyze downtime reports and propose solutions to minimize disruptions.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, automation, and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, electrical panels, wiring, pumps, conveyors, motors, and other industrial machinery.
• Hands-on knowledge of welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
• Ability to analyze equipment performance data and identify areas for improvement.
