Job Description
Join us as a Platform Lead
- We re looking for someone with real influence and good organisational skills to lead us to agreed targets
- You ll be delivering, owning and maintaining the platform s operational stability and performance technology
- You ll be able to really make this role your own, allowing excellent exposure for you and your work
- Were offering the role at director level.
We ll be asking you to own the remediation of technical issues and the simplification and improvement of the platform architecture and technology. You ll build the platform roadmap, working with the centres of excellence to make sure you have the right the resources. On top of this, you ll use your expertise to make sure that business solutions are optimised for our customers needs and the overall technology strategy.
You ll also be:
- Taking ownership of the financial, commercial and flow performance of the platform
- Creating the platform technical roadmap with rhe right architect, solutions and commercial value,
- Managing the tensions inherent in working through the implementation of competing customer priorities with the right business leaders and business product owners
- Optimizing the scheduling and sequencing of of initiatives to achieve agreed targets for the cycle time, rick and cost profiles of the platform
- Taking ownership for the technical architecture and design of your platform and the alignment to domain and enterprise roadmaps and targets
- Maintaining your platform s operational stability and the performance of technology, including supporting applications, systems, utilities and tools consistent with the ITIL
- Knowledge of financial systems and experience of working with them
- Managing the platform risk culture, making sure that teams effectively collaborate to mitigate risk
- Delivering the regulatory reporting and managing the relevant budgets provided
In this role, you ll need to have in-depth domain or platform product knowledge and experience. Operational risk management, financial management, collaboration and negotiation are all important elements of this role, as is strong commercial acumen with an acute understanding of the business landscape.
You ll also be expected to have:
- Strong leadership skills, including Agile and servant leadership experience
- Architecture, design and engineering skills, relevant to the specific platform
- Experience of working and running high performance, large scaled Agile and non-Agile programmes, projects and teams
- extensive experience in banking technology leadership with a focus on driving innovation and digital transformation, preferable some of it within Asset finance.
