ELK Engineer

Skills, Role & Responsibilities:

• Well Known and Well versed in Logstash, OpenSearch and OpenSearch-Dashboards
• Creating Parser for various types of device logs and log formats,
• Installation and configuration of Logstash.
• Creating Index and Index templates in OpenSearch (using API and UI both)
• Writing OpenSearch complex DSL Queries.
• Log Ingestion: Develop efficient log ingestion pipelines using Logstash, ensuring data is parsed, transformed, and normalized for effective analysis.
• Alerting and Notification: Configure alerting and notification mechanisms within the ELK Stack to proactively identify and address issues.
• Data Parsing and Enrichment: Implement custom log parsing and data enrichment techniques to extract valuable insights from log data.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ELK Stack components, including resource allocation, query performance, and index management.
• Take ownership of developing and designing tasks.
• Collaborate with team members from various teams to find and integrate solutions.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve complex issues related to log data, log parsing, and ELK Stack performance.
• Understanding of full life cycle system development in ELK Stack for OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with setting up, implementing and configuring OpenSearch-Dashboards
• Strong experience with log parsing, data enrichment, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
• Knowledge of SQL database PostgreSQL

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree. (Candidate having graduation/Post graduation in Engineering/ Science/ Technology in relevant field would be given added advantage)
• Minimum 3-5 years of fulltime experience, working with ELK like stack
• Understanding of database concepts and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
