Job Title: Assistant Manager Account
Location: Vasai
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: DOF

Job Summary:
The Senior Accounts Executive will play a key role in managing financial transactions, overseeing billing processes, and handling the complexities of import and export accounting. This position requires a professional with strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in billing, and a solid understanding of international trade and customs regulations. The ideal candidate will support financial reporting, reconciliation, compliance, and contribute to the company’s overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Accounting:
    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.

  1. Billing & Invoicing:
    • Oversee and manage the billing cycle, ensuring that invoices are accurate, processed, and dispatched in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in client billing, including reviewing purchase orders, contracts, and payment terms.
    • Coordinate with sales and procurement teams to ensure the accurate processing of billing data.
    • Maintain records of all transactions and billing statements for audit purposes.

  1. Import/Export Financial Management:
    • Manage financial documentation related to imports and exports, including customs declarations, duty calculations, and freight costs.
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export duties, and tariffs.
    • Coordinate with logistics and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery and correct financial documentation for international shipments.
    • Prepare and manage reports regarding import/export transactions, including cost analysis and profitability.

  1. Tax and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and international tax laws (VAT, GST, customs duties, etc.) as applicable to import/export activities.
    • Prepare and submit relevant tax returns, including any duties and levies for imported/exported goods.
    • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants when necessary to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

  1. Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Provide insights and financial reports regarding the impact of import/export activities on overall profitability.
    • Conduct financial analysis on cost management and pricing strategies for international transactions.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, particularly in the area of international sales and logistics costs.

  1. Collaboration & Teamwork:
    • Work closely with the procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations from order to shipment.
    • Support the finance department in various projects and initiatives, including process improvements and automation of billing/invoicing workflows.
    • Mentor junior accountants and assist with training on billing and import/export accounting processes.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or similar qualification is a plus).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong billing and import/export accounting exposure.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export procedures, and related financial practices.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,Tally ).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multinational company or with international customers.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange and its impact on financial transactions.
