GIS Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: -

• Document processes, standard operating procedures, and system requirements for existing and new, UDC and client custom applications.
• Participate on Agile development teams as a fully collaborative member. This includes participating in daily stand-up meetings, problem-solving, writing stories, and providing feedback.
• Participate in or lead business and functional requirements workshops with clients, based on the business need. Translation of business needs into documented, detailed requirements for reference by UDC software developers.
• Configure project environments, including ArcGIS Pro and Portal using the required tools and scripting.
• Perform data modeling activities, including data mapping, creating of data matrices, and migration specifications.
• Create training and knowledge transfer materials and documentation.
• Conduct end user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Super user experience using ArcMap / ArcFM / ArcGIS Pro desktop tools and applications
• To understand and adhere to security requirements laid down by organization, customer and other statutory regulations.
• Report security incidents, lessons , weaknesses etc. to the chief information security officer.

Technical Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of GIS concepts and analytical techniques, including computerized mapping and digital data conversion, manipulation and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of GIS database management principles, methods and techniques, including quality control methods and practices.
• Knowledge of GIS software tools and applications including but not limited to ArcGIS,
• ArcFM, ArcPro, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, MS Visio and applications of MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge on data migration activities to ArcGIS Utility Network
• Software applications development methods, tools and utilities applicable to the GIS system.
• Utility experience is preferred, as is experience with large scale Systems Integrations projects.
