2. Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and driving the promotion, marketing, and sales of Management Development Programs (MDPs) offered by the institute. 


Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and connect with potential corporate clients and organizations for MDP opportunities.
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and the training needs of corporates.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with HR heads, L&D teams, and decision-makers.
  2. Sales & Revenue Generation:
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for MDPs.
    • Pitch customized training solutions to corporates based on their specific needs.
    • Create and follow up on proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
  3. Program Management & Promotion:
    • Collaborate with faculty to design and develop MDP content aligned with industry requirements.
    • Promote MDP offerings through digital marketing, email campaigns, social media, and networking events.
  4. Client Engagement:
    • Ensure seamless delivery of programs, acting as the primary point of contact for corporate clients.
    • Gather feedback from participants and clients to measure program success and suggest improvements.
  5. Strategy & Reporting:
    • Develop strategies to expand the reach and impact of MDPs.
    • Provide regular updates to the Chairperson/Director on progress, sales pipeline, and client engagement.
    • Maintain a database of clients and leads for effective follow-up and relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with corporate clients and faculty.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills for effective promotion and client acquisition.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management (experience in education, training, or consulting is a plus).
  • Familiarity with corporate learning & development trends and MDPs is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
