Key claims representative for MR India branch, actively implement the new Global Claims Set-up and advance our Global Claims Ambition 2025
Independently handle claims of Indian clients in accordance with claims handling guidelines, ensuring proactive claims management and state of the art legal and technical analysis of claims including reserving for Outliers. Taking decision regarding indemnity within defined limits of authority
Continuously improve claims management to increase the effectiveness of core claims functions in light of digital transformation
Contribute to Munich Re s thought leadership and market presence ambition. Provide consultative and value driven approach when engaging with Munich Re s client in India as well the wider Asia region, deliver custom-made solutions wherever applicable
Identify and meet the core business needs of our internal stakeholders. Develop suggestions for improving underwriting quality based on lessons learnt from claims, client s behaviour and claims trend analysis
Establish and maintain excellent network with key internal and external stakeholders, clients, and brokers in India market
Manage claims reporting requests from regulatory authorities in India, as well as internal management
Conduct claims audits/ review/ due diligence of clients and actively participate in market meetings whenever required
Analysis and identification of overarching and specific reinsurance contract claims trends, market news and clients behaviour
Team up with and contribute to business initiates based on needs
Review of random cases below certain threshold and ensure the standard and performance service level of claims handling, follow up of key words triggered claims
Your Profile:
University degree or comparable formal qualification with 8+ years of claims management / loss adjuster experience
Have experience in large-scale property and engineering insurance claims management
Expert knowledge of reinsurance and /or primary insurance business in Claims
Strong analytical skills, independent work ability and upstanding team spirit
Strategic thinking and ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues
Confident and affable manner, very good written skills
Strong negotiating and conflict-solving skills, assertiveness and ability to take decisions
Excellent communication skills and command of English language
High level of commitment with a willingness to travel
