Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronics hardware design and a passion for developing innovative products. Responsibilities will include detailed analog and digital design, schematic capture, board layout, circuit design and verification, prototype testing and analysis, component sourcing, embedded systems firmware programming and debugging, development of production test specifications and procedures, and preparation of bills of materials.

Responsibilities:

Detailed analog and digital design including schematic capture and board layout
Analog & digital circuit design and verification
Prototype testing and analysis
Ability to source components and work with component vendors
Programming and debugging embedded systems firmware
Development of production test specifications and procedures
Preparation of bill of materials
Train & guide a team of hardware technicians & engineers for product development in terms of schematic, layout design, sample testing, reliability testing before field trials & mass production
Perform product development analysis based on component selection, field application and cost impact before deploying the hardware engineer team to schematic working and layouts
Help hardware engineers Design power, analog and/or digital electronic circuits
Use of simulation software s to validate circuits
Perform the design robustness analyses (Margins analysis, Failure Mode analysis, )
Help testing team conduct tests @ Labs for EMI, EMC, UL , CE compliance
coordinate with Service team for product reliability and field trial analysis before mass production of the product
Help Develop the documentation necessary for product certifications
Participate to create prototype & reliability tests
Write Test specifications, analyze and interpret test results
Contribute to technical investigations when the test results are not compliant to the requirements and perform analyzes to solve them.
Contribute to internal production supervisors reviews within the company for rectification required in hardware for efficiency in testing and assembly in production department

Qualifications:

Demonstrable experience in successful planning and design of products
Analog and Digital circuit design
Components Selection
Experience with PCB layout tools like Altium
Digital design experience with MPUs and microcontrollers
Experience with communications involving modems, network, and/or wireless technology
Good balance of theoretical and practical experience and must be "hands on" in an electronics industrial environment and have experience using basic test equipment
Must have knowledge about EMC/EMI design standard

Competencies:

Strong understanding of electronics hardware design principles
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Great time management skills and the ability to judge their involvement and importance on the critical path of a project

Experience Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in electronics hardware design
Freshers with creative embedded projects are encouraged to apply
Candidates with raw digital & analog intuition with logic without any formal embedded projects will also be considered
