AWS Cloud Architect/Infra Lead

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and management of scalable, secure, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, trends, and best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture Design:

• Design and implement scalable, cost-efficient, and secure cloud solutions on AWS.
• Develop cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring optimal performance and resilience.

Infrastructure Management:

• Manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, configuring, and maintaining AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and more.
• Optimize existing systems for cost, performance, and scalability.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure the cloud environment complies with security and regulatory standards.
• Implement robust security measures, including IAM, encryption, and network security configurations.

Automation and DevOps:

• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Integrate DevOps practices to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident management.

Performance Monitoring:

• Set up and manage monitoring systems to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with the cloud infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams on best practices for cloud usage.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Regularly report on cloud usage, costs, and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Expertise in networking concepts like VPC, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in a cloud environment.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, preferably with AWS.
• Hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud solutions using AWS services.
• Certifications:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is highly desirable.
