Design Manager SPM

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager in the automation field to lead our design team and ensure successful project delivery. This role involves overseeing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the design team, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs. Foster a collaborative, creative environment.
• Project Management: Oversee the design process, allocate resources efficiently, and manage multiple projects to meet timelines and budgets.
• Design Excellence: Review and approve design concepts, layouts, and technical drawings while ensuring compliance with functional, safety, and regulatory standards. Drive innovation by staying updated with industry trends.
• Collaboration: Work with sales and marketing to translate client needs into design solutions. Coordinate with production and procurement teams for seamless execution.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed design records, provide daily activity updates, and report project progress, challenges, and outcomes to management.
• Ensure assembly team understands drawings and specifications to facilitate smooth machine delivery.
• Designing assembly line automation machines, special purpose machines (Spm), jigs & fixtures as required to meet customer specifications.
• Selection of pneumatic components by performing design calculations.
• Participate in design review meeting with customer to complete design approval process.
  Preparing & releasing BOM (Bill of materials).
• Preparing & releasing MOM
  Preparing & releasing both manufacturing and assembly drawings of machines.
  Proficient - Solid works
• Must experience in SPM Machine, Laser Marking Machine, Automation Sector

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical a Masters degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 7- 10 years in design roles, with 35 years in a managerial position in the automation industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of machine design, SPMs, and automation solutions.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly automation, and regulatory standards.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent team management, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
