Azure IoT Cloud Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end IoT solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, including device connectivity, data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate IoT devices and sensors with Azure IoT services.
• Configure and deploy Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Edge, Azure Stream Analytics, and other Azure services to manage and process IoT.
• Implement security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IoT data and devices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure IoT solutions to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and implementation details for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture
• Exposure to cloud managed services and microservices like Function as a Service, Containers, and managed databases
• Thorough understanding of ML, data analysis, data visualization, and event-driven architecture
• Should be able to Enhance our cloud capability by creating and implementing cloud application patterns.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in IoT, cloud computing, and Azure services.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as an Azure IoT Engineer or a similar role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing IoT solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Strong understanding of IoT architectures, protocols, and standards such as MQTT, OPC UA, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Azure IoT services such as Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Edge, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Function
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Explorer, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with edge computing and deploying Azure IoT Edge modules.
• Understanding of data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements related to IoT solutions.
• Good to have experience in AWS cloud also.
• Good understanding of IoT Sensor/ Gateway/ Communication networking concepts is preferred.
• Experience with integration with third-party services and APIs.
• Knowledge on artificial intelligence and machine learning services will be an added advantage.

Education Requirements: Bachelors/masters degree in engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
