We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Systems Administrator/Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our company's IT infrastructure. This includes managing our network, servers, security systems, and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both hardware and software, with a focus on network security and data management.
Responsibilities:

• Active Directory Administration: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory.
• Server Management: Configure, manage, and maintain virtual machines (VMs) on Hyper-V servers.
• Network Administration:
• Provide backup support to the network administrator.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Assist in data centre operations.
• Monitor network performance, analyse data, and perform tuning to optimize efficiency.
• Troubleshoot network problems and escalate issues to vendors when necessary.
• Security:
• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewall configuration and antivirus/anti-spam solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies to harden client systems and protect sensitive data.
• Data Management:
• Manage data backups, archival, storage, and retrieval processes.
• Oversee and maintain QC systems, including data systems and LIMS.
• End-user Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users for software, hardware, and network issues.
• Configure and deploy business Android tablets and mobile devices, including hardening and user level controls.
• System Administration:
• Manage and maintain eBRM, QAMS, and DMS systems.
• Other:
• Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
• Manage Active Directory and Domain Controller.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (6+ years) as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with firewall administration (FortiGate / SonicWALL preferred).
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and security best practices.
• Experience with data backup and recovery solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with QMS and LIMS.
• Familiarity with Caliber eBRM, QAMS, and DMS.
• Industry-relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA).
