Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our IT team. The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our customers network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with network technologies, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Infrastructure Management:

• Design, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Ensure the availability, security, and performance of network services and resources.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and take proactive measures to optimize network performance.

2. Network Security:

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control policies.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Respond to and mitigate network security incidents.

3. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support to end-customers for network-related problems.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

4. Network Documentation:

• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

5. Network Upgrades and Expansion:

• Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and expansions to meet the organization's growing needs.
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions.

6. Compliance and Best Practices:

• Ensure network configurations comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging network technologies and trends.

7. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and concepts.
• Experience with network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, HP Aruba, or similar.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
• Experience with firewall administration and security policies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for network-related emergencies, if required.
