Senior Engineer ( Construction)

Role & responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and resources required for successful project completion.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Implement project management best practices to ensure adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead a multidisciplinary project team, providing guidance, motivation, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster a collaborative working environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Resolve conflicts and address issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the project.
• Review and approve project expenditures, invoices, and change orders to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising project quality or objectives.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Implement quality assurance processes to uphold high standards of workmanship and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contractual agreements.
• Address any non-compliance issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain project integrity.

Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
• Manage expectations effectively, addressing concerns and soliciting feedback to ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and community members, to facilitate project success and mitigate potential obstacles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in project management within the real estate industry, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of real estate development processes, including zoning regulations, permitting, and land acquisition.
• Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and build rapport with stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control principles.
• PMP or other relevant certifications are preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Lean Construction management are preferred
• Planning software experience preferred.
