We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to implement and maintain computer systems and software to support IP engineering flows. The candidate will also use DevOps techniques to automate configuration, monitoring and tuning of the services.
You will:
Install, configure, and update software for Linux systems.
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
Provide orientation, training, and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
Maintain records, logs of repairs, fixes and HW, SW inventory.
Monitor compute systems performance.
Ideally, you ll have:
Proven experience in an engineering support role.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication ability.
Understanding of VMWare and managing virtual machines in a server farm.
Experience deploying VMs in a cloud service.
Skills in automating tasks with scripting languages including, but not limited to Python.
Experience building modules and designing a sane module system that supports multiple operating systems.
Experience with Jenkins administration.
Experience with a batch scheduling tool such as Altair, Univa grid, slurm or LSF.
Experience with developing and deploying data collection and monitoring services such as Prometheus, Influx, Grafana both for IT and engineering data.
Ability to generate and maintain security policies, both written and via sudo rules.
Familiarity with network threat prevention features and maintaining security policies.
Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant field.
A plus if you have:
Experience administering and supporting Synopsys and Cadence EDA tools.
Some experience in an IP development area such as RTL design, design verification, physical design or performance modeling.
Experience with Perforce and,or git (github) administration.
Experience administering authentication and authorization in a zero trust model.
