Job Description

What you ll do
- Understand client business domains and drive Digital Business Transformation (DBT) opportunities.
- Drive architecture, design, estimation, planning, and collaborate with the client to implement solutions.
- Work on NFRs like security, performance, availability, resiliency, reliability, and maintainability and advocate relevant trade-offs.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers, Product Managers, and Platform Engineers to define the architecture, engineering practices & guidelines.
- Work with our customers to define the solution architecture for enterprise e-commerce/ Marketplace solutions using Shopify Plus.
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications and provide solutions and recommendations for implementation.
- Implement the solutions and provide technical expertise in designing and planning the solutions.
- Manage stakeholders to drive key decisions on tools, technologies, user journeys, and overall governance.
- Strategize with sales prospects and existing clients on innovative technology solutions to mission-critical business needs. Articulate the solutions and quantify cost and timeline estimates in collaboration with other team members.
- Drive and support business development, including preparing technical responses with estimated project scope, costs, duration, and resource requirements in written proposals.
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams to define the overall IT strategy.
- Lead the continuous implementation of new industry standards and development methodologies, including Agile & Kanban, to increase responsiveness and growth.
- Drive diversification of our team s skills across different technologies, platforms, and business models.
What you ll bring
- 8 12 years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 5 years in Shopify/Shopify Plus development.
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, SEO, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with third-party apps and APIs, including payment gateways, analytics tools, and marketing platforms
- Experience integrating Shopify Plus with ERPs, CRMs, DAMs, and other enterprise systems
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented approach to technical challenges
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control systems
- Knowledge of global e-commerce markets and omnichannel retail solutions
- Shopify Plus certifications or equivalent credentials are a plus
- Experience in Build and Automation tools, Code Quality Plugins, CI/CD Pipelines and Containerization platforms (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with managing multiple teams in a matrix organization
- Exposure to headless architectures like Single Page Applications (SPA)
- Experience with eCommerce, marketplaces, cloud solutions, Continuous Integration, DevOps, middleware, mobile, and content management required
- Experience with other enterprise eCommerce platforms like HCL Commerce, SFCC, and Adobe Commerce is an added advantage.
