Associate_Securities Operations

Position Summary

Daily accounting and reconciliation of return (principal & income) generated from investments in Securities like ABS, MBS, CMO, bond and common stocks etc.

It also involves reconciliation of custody position to ensure that there is no variance between position held in MetLife books and custodian records. Individual needs to ensure that all receivables are paid timely and if there is any delay then there needs to be a timely follow up with custodian for missing or delayed funds.

Identify system flaw and their solutions via discussing with teams and application owner for the fix.

Job Responsibilities

• Reconcile & Review bank to ledger transactions for securities investment accounts.
• Analyze, research & review all discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding items.
• Follow-up with other internal customers for closure of open items and provide back-ups for all discrepancies.
• Perform mid-month, month-end and quarter-end activities as per documented desktop procedures & publish reports.
• Ensure that the assigned targets are met in accordance with SLA and Internal standards.
• Ensure that the quality of transaction in compliance with predefined parameters as defined by Process Excellence.
• Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the supervisor.
• Delivery of urgent / ad hoc request to internal as well as external customer

Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement

Education

Bachelor in Accounting / Commerce with a minimum of 15 years of education.

Experience (In Years)

2-4 Year in Finance & Accounts domain

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and generating queries to extract data.
• Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to business problems.
