We are hiring an Analyst to be responsible for the daily maintenance of index operations, focusing data quality, supporting ad hoc projects and automations. Supported by the Director of Index Operations, you will join a culture of respect, transparency, and strong collaboration.
Responsibilities. Research and analyse asset prices, corporate actions, and other incoming data, investigate potential errors and coordinate with data vendors to correct it in a timely manner. Ensure corporate actions are applied to the index based on the index specific rules. Review index methodologies, benchmark, and compliance statements, and make necessary updates as and when needed.
Conduct quality check prior to index launch and ensure the index is built as per the agreed upon methodology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully launch indices. Perform rebalance screening, represent rebalancing result to index committee and implement rebalances. Perform end of day checks and ensure data quality prior dissemination of indices.
Assist in automation of checks and rebalances. Work directly with the clients and resolve their queries as and when needed. Support operations across asset classes such as equity, fixed income, derivatives, and commodities. Participate in several initiatives taken by Operations team, share expert knowledge, provide feedback, and perform necessary testing.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including adherence to IOSCO and EU Benchmark Regulations (BMR) and undertake responsibility for regulatory reporting. Requirements. Good understanding of corporate actions and its application in indices. Familiarity with benchmarks, index methodologies and rebalances.
Experience using financial data sets and vendors platform, eg FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, Bloomberg. Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a different time zones. Comfortable working directly with the clients. Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment under little guidance and a self-starter.
Skills and Qualifications. Bachelors degree in finance or related field. MBA or masters is a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate actions application and index management.
